Message From the pastor
Hello!
Thank you for visiting our website.
This is an exciting time for our church. Our original building has been demolished, we are meeting at Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, and construction is about to begin on our new facility.
We are taking this time between buildings to refocus on who we are and who God has called us to be. The world has changed since our church was founded in 1957. Technology, the internet, and Covid have changed the landscape. This is not your grandfather’s church anymore!
But our calling remains the same: To serve our community in all Christ-like ways. Our vision for this new church is to make it a resource for our neighborhood: a place where multiple congregations can share space, a place where parents can find childcare for their kids, a place where community theatre groups can display their talents, a place that is available for community meetings, scout groups, weddings, funerals, and other non-profits.
I’m very excited about our church’s future and would love for you to be a part of it. Come and join us on this journey!
Blessings!
Bart Purdy
